The Amber Monolith is a massive 600 meter tall tower floating 500 feet above the ground, in the middle of the Plain of Brick, a wide expanse of worked stone, many miles wide. At the immediate base of the Amber Monolith is the Fortress. It’s actual name is Calaval’s Keep, but most people in Amberton call it the Fortress. Even from far away, the Monolith is an impressive site. Rings orbit it, and it thrums with power.
Amberton is a small town that surrounds the Amber Monolith, built on the worked stone of the Plain of Brick. Amberton itself formed around a hundred years ago when people who were refused access to the strictly guarded Monolith felt they had nowhere else to go. The town is surrounded by a 20 foot wall of dark liquid that seems to ripple slowly. In the center of town is the massive half kilometer tall Amber Monolith, which floats hundreds of feet in the sky. From the Tithe River Port there’s a road that leads to the North gate of Amberton.
